Okay, I definitely have to rewatch again because I was watching it in my lunch break while chatting with Amy, so I might have missed one or two things. Here's what I think, so far:

I think the doctor might have been the Siren. Or at least I think that Sam isn't 100% sure she's not and that is the reason why he didn't want to go and see her afterwards. He didn't want confirmation.

I might be too smart for this world *snickers* but the moment that agent dude started admiring the Impala, I was like: "Ah... Siren..." LOL! Of course then I was hoping for mad passionate sex between Dean and the agent dude but meh... no sex needed. (Why can't this be a bit more like Torchwood? LOL) At least I hoped for the agent dude to make a move on Dean (when they were in the car, there were definitely some longing looks) and then see Dean's reaction. *bwahaha*

This eppy reminded me a bit of a Buffy episode. Can't remember which one (too long ago) but there was one (wait, was it the musical?) where they needed a spell put on them to reveal their true feelings. (and this happened after they revived Buffy and she lied about where she was to protect her friends, so they wouldn't feel bad - kinda like Dean who lied about his hell-ish memories to protect Sam and Bobby)
I hope our boys can find a way out of this before they and their relationship is damaged beyond repair. I think this was the exact problem with later seasons of Buffy: because of what they all experienced left so many cracks in their bond and in themselves that it just didn't work anymore.
Angst is good but too much angst is not.

Maybe the boys need an angel to fix them. ;) Yes, I only want Castiel back, so he can fix the boys. *nods* No other shallow reason involved. Nope. Not at all. *snickers*

i am still confused as to what exactly the Siren feeds off of. they get their victim to kill for them b/c of the euphoria caused by the oxytocin but what exactly does that do for the Siren?

Didn't the Siren say that it's such a thrill to see someone kill somebody else for them? Maybe that's it? Just the excitement? Some kind of power crazyness/ adrenaline kinda thing?
Kinda like why did the Romans watch gladiators fight and kill each other? Or the Spaniards watch bull fights? What's in it for the audience then? Just the thrill and excitement... I guess?

Oddly enough, I was reminded of 'Angel'.
A woman called Jasmine (well, one of her names), and being freed from her spell involves blood. Where have we seen that before?

Yup, that's exactly the point where I started thinking, 'hmmm, the Siren has good taste in Winchesters!', too. And s/he was definitely flirting. It was interesting that the Siren just wanted to be loved, but the kind of love was irrelevant. Because Dean wasn't flirting back - more's the pity....;:-)

oh yes Jasmine. *shudder*

it would have been funny to see Dean overtly flirting, however i think that would have been too far out of character. OTOH there was that whole "male bonding" thing going on which is a type of love so that was probably enough.

....and I just had an extra think.

I could be wrong, as I've only watched it once... but how could the doctor be the siren, wasn't she with Sam when Dean was with Agent Fake?

i was thinking that, even though they did mention that Sirens were solitary, perhaps there was more than one working the town. the Doctor going into the bar while Dean was with the Agent would have them working together but of course i was wrong.

Yeah, that the only thing that puzzled me. As Hallie said *points below* it could have been more than 1 Siren or maybe she's able to be at more than 1 place at once?

Or I could be totally wrong... all is possible. LOL!

yeah the musical. have to agree with those comments. it is going to be tough for the boys to forget what they said to each other. :(

i think the reason Sam didnt need to go back and see her was why say goodbye? there was no point b/c it was going to be awkward and/or sad to have to leave anyway.

i do not think Dean would ever swing that way, not even for Jack Harkness. sorry to dash your hopes. Dean is just too male to make that choice.

yes, ONLY an angel can fix them. *eg*

*squees and points at icon*

LOOK!!!!!! What I just found!!!! *bounces up and down*

Ahem...

But you know, Jack would SO hit on Dean! LOL! Actually I saw a fanfic crossover on my f-list earlier. Might have to go back and check it out. I think it had Jack/Sam and Jack/Ianto...

see even in the fanfic, they know Dean wouldn't go with Jack. that is why they paired Jack with Sam. bwahaha

but yes, Jack WOULD hit on Dean. which i think would be funny b/c Jack is so overtly male/macho.

mmmm, Castiel.

Yeah they rather pair Dean with Sam, huh? ;)

(And why did I just read your "they paired Jack with Sam" as "they prepared Jack..." ROFL!!

I think the problem with Dean/Jack would be the clashing square cleft chins!
There might be the wrong kind of sparks.....
