so I went to this luau
it was a huge party with a lot of rich folks
it was a mixture between this really "upper" man's birthday party and an auction party where the money is all donated to City of Hope.
the party sucked balls the first half
auctions = boooring
so I left and met up with some cool people at Uptown
then I went back to the party just to hang out
plus I wanted to hear the band
so the band was alright
I just sat down in a corner and watched all those drunk couples (including my dad and Kathy) trying to dance.
and then this old guy who was the flute player in the band came up and sat by me in the middle of one of their songs and played the flute right in my face
he was obvoiusly really drunk but it was still pretty funny
so that was fun.
and it was good to watch Dad and Kathy have a good time
but I couldn't help but think as I watched those drunk people dance and make fools of themselves...
"This is supposedly our upper class..."
