'Sploding manhole covers!
This happened RIGHT OUTSIDE my building today o__o
The news sure likes to exaggerate. Contrary to the reports, I didn't feel it "shake the whole building" - even though we look directly down upon it. Although I probably should mention that at the time I was in the bathroom and to me it only sounded like someone dropped a large object on the floor above us :\
Fail.
Smoke was coming out of the manholes - one was a dark red/black, the other white. We suspect thieves were trying to break into an underground vault XDDD;
In other news: San Francisco is to hold a vote on whether to rename one of its largest sewage treatment facilities after George W. Bush, in what supporters describe as “a fitting monument to the President’s work”.
