The Anatomy of a Shirt - PART FOUR

It's that time again! (and my first post of 2007! WHEEEEE.)

THE ANATOMY OF A SHIRT - PART FOUR
Ahh, I was going to do Ryohei's shirt that I mentioned last time (I just need to figure out the actual design. Criss-crosses are hard D:) - but this one caught my eye. And was easier XD (Pretty much anything after the HYDE shirt is considered simple XD)

STEP #1: Find Inspiration...
Where do I turn? Korean Boy Bands :(

Scans from the January issue of Ceci posted on dbsg. Yunho (U-KNOW) ♥! If it weren't for that second picture, I wouldn't have bothered attempting this shirt.

STEP #2: Make a template on Adobe
I wasted a lot of time trying to find the fonts for this design, when in actuality... I had them on my computer already =__=; IRONICALLY, THIS IS THE SAME FONT AS PER HYDEIST. JUST BIGGER.

The text took some tweaking, but the hardest part was the top and bottom designs. Created them with the pen tool (white on black) - but inversed the color when I printed out the pattern XD

STEP #3: Print & transfer to contact paper

Sister did all the cutting! Hence much love to her :)

STEP #4: Buy shirt
Already had the shirt from my last bulk purchase at Target XD;

STEP #5: STENCILING!
Place contact paper on shirt.

Mix fabric paint (1 part textile medium : 2 parts acrylic paint). Paint in holes.

Four coats later...

STEP #6: WAIT AND WAIT HOMG
Wait to dry. Peel off and do touch ups!

Turn inside out. Iron for 20 seconds. Let dry 7 days >>

STEP #7: SHOW OFF!
... and make a post to LJ:

Now I need to find my white turtle-neck 8D

It needs a couple more touch ups (should fix up the corners of the top pattern), then needs to be ironed - but for the most part, it's done~
