g1ness

i think the G1's finally got enough apps to make me contently willing to overlook the displeasurable hardware

winning stuff: Maverick and Hello AIM! dumb names, but totally kick ass over the default IM clients

RemoteDroid: you run a java app on your computer and then you can connect to it and have a remote keyboard and mouse from your phone. w/ wireless you don't even need cell service and can keep it all local. (exactly what i want when i'm watching movies and stuff on my laptop hooked up to my TV. no VNC mess, just access to the mouse and keyboard)

ConnectBot: SSH client that lets me use an SSH key to connect to servers. i finally figured out how to use ctrl keys and that made it fairly useful

ATrackDog: App tracker that does version checking and shows you which apps have been updated. Will even track apps that aren't in the Market. Somehow manages to be able to update the Hello AIM! app easier than the Hello AIM! app itself.

Cute Stuff:

SnapPhoto: Uses the accelerometer to add image stabilization. Don't know how much better it is, but it's a cute feature.

the BarCode apps that do price lookups. don't know that it's saved me the $100 it thinks it has, but it's still cute
