Dr Glass Eye's Plasma Bulbs
Finally got the media thing sorted out.
So these are the things i, after driving day and night and day again (with a short nap somewhere in there) and then spent a day staring at the pile of crap that it was too windy to set up, went out to help attach to Man 1.0
They are all handblown plasma bulbs that were a little garden for the waist of the Green Man. Unlike the neon which has places to go, these were just a developed concept and so we had to figure out where to place them. There was a rough idea of which order they went in, but no mapped spots of structure to actually attach them to. We had to cut up tiny pieces of wood for stand offs, trying to keep it all snug so it would stay in place and not snap while the Man was being lifted.
Ain't nothing like standing on a bench that was just a bunch of screwed in supposedly spare lumber, leaning over a bunch of semi-delicate wood and very delicate glass tubes while holding a unique piece of more delicate glass and trying to position it in some place that's just barely in your reach. In the middle of the night. With random gusts of wind. And a drunk temple crew showing up to hang out at the man base.
But they went up and stayed and didn't break and were lit up for a whole night and a half before being burnt down.
