Awwww, I'm glad you understand. I do feel sort of weird, but I'm starting to realise that I'm just different to a lot of other people in fandom in that when I'm very emotional I like to keep it to myself. (And maybe, like, run away from my feelings.) And seeing MCR perform after a five-year wait, and a tour that got cancelled because my favourite member left (BOB ;_;) is a hell of an emotional moment.
The Tibetan Freedom Councert sounds kind of amazing. I've never been hugely into Pearl Jam but I know how many people adore them, and I love RATM! It sounds like just a stunning concert, and yeah, that's what it felt like right then. WTTBP has always been a song that I wanted to hear at Big Day Out, because BDO is a festival that's become really, really important to me, and the things just go together. To be able to sing along to it at *that festival* in the sun was literally a dream come true.
I adore Oasis! So much of their music seems to reach inside me and twist in just the right way. They really are amazing. I never got to see Oasis play live, but seeing Noel was brilliant. and you're right about angry people coming together, that's exactly what it felt like. It was the most unbelievably brilliant, bright moment of the entire day when he played "Don't Look Back In Anger". (Okay, maybe not better than Black Parade. But they're on an equal footing.)
