And the traditional early NaNo forum crash begins. At least I remembered what time the Cup Day party starts. I just put the pinwheels in the oven so now my fingers smell like pastry.
Here, have a song: Anthem by Tiddas. (And bonus You & Me Running because it has a bit of 'Ging Gang Goolie' in the middle, making it a hell of a nostalgia trip back to kinder for me and probably a lot of other kids who grew up in Australia.)
Because I have had so many conversations since Friday:
"I went to see Powderfinger and Tiddas performed with them too!."
"... who?"
"Tiddas? Aboriginal pop group from the nineties?"
"Don't you mean Yothu Yindi?"
(Not that I don't love Yothu Yindi, but if I were talking about them I would talk about THEM.)
And while I love the Fingernuts to death I am slightly disturbed by their insistence on talking about Bernard's man-boobs.

I want to get my wordcount for today out of the way so I can try to work on my essay at the NaNo party. (Yes, missing the point lol.) I am terrible at being a student right now. Hey wouldn't it be funny if I got a great mark on my thesis and failed my other subjects? Hahahahaha. Ha.
