I like adventure/sci-fi/shounen series-type stuff for my escapism too. Especially if there's giant robots. Star Wars, Doctor Who, original Trek, a looot of animated series...

I also like cop shows really a lot, but I'm weird.

I like cop shows that aren't all DNA tests and blood spatter analysis. Old-fashioned detective stuff. CSI leaves me cold, though. Inspector Rex is the pinnacle of crime shows for me. (Also, doggy.)

Numbers is also one of my favourite crime shows! I only watch it occasionally but it's a good one. I'm secretly a big math nerd.

I'd say to escape I need fantasy or Shojuo manga and yet Maho-Shoujo manga is ever better. I'm rather girly like that
