After so long a wait, after so much hardship and worry, when they thought they were reciving the fruit of their labor, instead a big ole meanie head threw a rock and shattered their pretty mirror...

So I guess they stepped on the shards and evnded up cutting themselves more than they expected, and I think they're gonna need lots thread to stitch those wounds up. It's a metter of time if those scars would heal, if at all, huh?

That is a fair summation of the questions KJ and I asked ourselves. We are trying to see if there is a hope for them. Wish us luck. ;)

Oh boy. It definitely sounds hopeless for now, but nothing is ever etched in stone no matter how bad one feels. I'm curious to read which road they decide to take.

I suppose I should really start reading The Dynast...

You need not read the Dynast if you'd rather not. I think you can pick up the story from the hints in this prologue. As you see, it was the hopeless situation which caught our attention. We enjoy taking on impossible problems. ;)

Thank you for the feed-back; we were trying for a tragic beginning and hoped to prompt some tears. :)

While it didn't prompt any tears it was certainly tragic and sad enough! Your aim was true on this moment.

The best stories are ones with hopeless situations. There is almost always a loophole somewhere if you're willing to dig deep enough. It'll be neat to see how this unfolds.

I'm excited to read this!

I just wanted to let you know! I will perhaps read it tomorrow evening when I have time!

I enjoy using exclamation marks!

I read it, like a month later! And I shall continue, even if it seems bleak and full of despair so far.
