The epilogue? Already? Boooooo. ;)

I'm a bit iffy on the ending because of sweet-Nooj, but I've voiced that before anyway.

Been a long trip, you two should be proud of your accomplishment!

Thank you for the comment. Part of our objective was to see if we could actually believably show Nooj changing under the influence of Sir Auron and Paine and the pressure of increased responsibilities and the opportunity to remake Spira into a world more compatible with his own ideas. In fact it was the 'what if' part of a happy ending for Nooj and Paine which set us on this path to begin with.

Never fear, I have other stories already in the works, ones in which you may find him more familiar to your original concept of him. Heh!

We are very happy with our enormous child. Truthfully, we never thought it would grow so large. We have had so much fun creating this and have learned much in the effort. Thank you for reading it. ;)

I loved it :) You made Nooj's change completely believable, and I really grew to like him as a character. But Baralai and Gippal were still my favorites ;) I can't wait to see what your next project is...

Thank you for staying with us on this long, long journey. If we made you believe in the Nooj we ended up with then we succeeded in our efforts. If we made you like him... well, that is a lovely bonus. ;)

I like B and G too and found writing them some of my most pleasant experiences. When we were about to bring them back on stage towards the end, both KJ and I mentioned how happy you would be to see them again.

We appreciate the comments and feed back you have been generous enough to leave us. It is so encouraging to know people are reading and enjoying.

As for the next project ... that would be telling. ;)

And now this is the official end. I don't like epilogues, but sometimes they're the best way -- and you ended it with singing the Hymn, the prayers, the praises, and the celebrations, and, presumably, a dirge.

Your portrayal of Nooj and his change was quite believable. I didn't know this kind of ending would be possible, but it evidently is. You guys did it remarkably well.

The main purpose of the Epilogue was to close the arc of Auron's story properly. We felt it was necessary to let the world know that even in this AU he accomplished his principal goal in resisting death. That - and we wanted to hold on to the fun just a little longer. Heh!

BTW: you cannot possibly realize how much just knowing you were following along helped us. We developed the habit of running each chapter past a virtual 'Ry-Ry filter'. You are the sort of reader every serious writer needs. Thank you so much for being there.

PS: we were afraid to kill Baralai. You would have organized a foray against us and we dared not risk that. You note Gippal was treated with great tenderness as well. ;)

Wow, I am a bit overwhelmed! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such an extensive review. It's always wonderful to learn where we touched a reader and where we might have fallen a bit short.

Onr of the best parts of writing this story for us was seeing the ways in which the various characters changed. Not just Nooj, Paine, and Auron, but the others as well: Yuna, Lulu, Baralai and Gippal, Beclem, Dona... Working with such a large cast gave us lots of different pathways to explore, and we had a great time doing it.

Thanks again! We're so glad you enjoyed our story. :)

My goodness! You are a very fast reader and a determined one! I am astonished you took the time to read through this very long epic of ours and ever more delighted that you wrote such a comprehensive review. Almost no one takes the time and effort to reward writers so richly. Thank you, thank you! Both Kathleen and I are so very glad you enjoyed our work. We had a marvelous time doing it and it makes it all the more pleasurable when we know we brought a little joy to our readers. We are so happy to welcome you aboard our mutual writing journal. ;)
