[Voice] Looking for Patterns

If anyone's up for it, how about some show and tell about the nightmares? ...I'll share mine on the board if anyone's interested in sharing theirs. Maybe there's a connection.

The past. Things going wrong. The usual sorts of things, at least for me. And they weren't a problem until I got back in the city proper.

Mistakes. The things I might've done or failed to do. But I don't usually have nightmares about that. Or usually remember my dreams. Looks like this isn't happening anywhere else.

Sounds like they're picking at things that were already there, instead of dropping in something from scratch.

I wonder if there's something in the city that's doing it and it can't work past the walls.

Good point. Now if we could figure out why...

The city itself is pretty old, I think. There are the ruins around it, too. Like a spell that's on the architecture itself? Maybe linked even to the city's age? [He's grasping at straws, and he knows it.]

Could be easier that way. Need to ask more people before we can rule the other out as impossible.

Spell? [Gah, magic? She sounds out of her depth, but it helps to think of it as technology she doesn't get.] Could be. Or maybe something broadcasting from the center and the range doesn't cover the whole island?

And does this even affect the locals? If they even dream in the first place.

Right.

That'd make sense, too. I've met a lot of people with technology that can mess with minds and hearts.

Not sure. It's hard to say, though I should probably start with the gypsies. They'll actually talk to us.

Me, too. More brains than hearts, though. Do you think they'd have some here? Besides the weather thing, technology doesn't seem advanced enough for it.

True. With the others, you'd probably have to break into their houses if you want to find out if they sleep.

On this level alone, no. But the Castle is basically magic, and the Organization's technology has likely altered it. Point is, technology on this level doesn't mean much, especially if the mayor has gone to different levels. Anyone can get out of this level if they want to.

And I'm not about to have them hate us more than we already do.
