Do do do-dit.
I had a lovely lovely lovely weekend with Clare. It was our 2nd anniversary, which made me really happy too. We've been together for all that time... and it doesn't scare me, or intimidate me, or anything like that. I just want to be with her forever. Love you, honey..
So, right now I am feeling pretty tired and also pretty full and pretty generally okay, which is... okay I spose. I have eaten too many sweets today though :-( . Today I did not do much, I went to school in the morning. And, then I did some lessons. I wanted to go to ICT because I have done his work today, but he was not here, so the planned fun-filled theory lesson did not go ahead as, um, planned. Then there was an assembly, good. Then there was lunch, which was alright, I just spent it with Dan in the Safeway (sorry, Morrisons) canteen.
This afternoon we learnt a lot more about William Blake, which was a pretty interesting couple of hours. We learnt about his political/religious imagery and how that affected his work, the whole destruction of innocence theme, etc. The important thing, and the thing that I found inspiring about it all was just that Blake had incredibly clear ideals about what he wanted to do with his writing and his life, his world views etc. Even though there was a massive change in his style of writing and his imagery over the course of about 5 years, there are hints that he wanted to do this anyway. The idea that he had this whole vision that unfolded as he wanted it to just because he knew what he would write about, what themes he'd use, what illustrations he'd use is just magnificent. So, I think maybe for the time being he is my new favourite poet. My new favourite dead poet anyway.
The people on Have I Got News For You are talking about pies.
I have nothing else to say tonight.
