SO I'm super curious. Does Devit even realize that Tyki didn't rat him out to Road, and didn't intend to in the first place? What would he think if he did/does?

He realizes that Tyki didn't but doesn't realize Tyki didn't intend to. He just assumes Tyki WOULD, because if Tyki would tell the Earl, why WOULDN'T he tell Road? It was just the conclusion Devit reached. In the end, it spilled out, but Devit had already had a discussion with Hakuren about how he didn't feel afraid; he was considering telling Road himself anyway, because he knew it'd come out SOMEHOW. He knew that if he didn't tell her, he'd end up spilling it during a truth effect (like he did with Tyki), or someone else would let it spill not knowing it was a secret, or yes, that Tyki would tell her, because Devit always assumed he would

And Tyki would tell him that the difference between Road and the Earl is that Road is just family, and the Earl is his boss. Tyki values family, yes, but that doesn't mean he goes spilling his guts to them at every corner and can't keep a secret from them, and he knows damn well that telling Road would make things... really unnecessarily difficult in camp. And since Tyki believes that the matter is the Earl's business alone, he didn't... see any need to tell Road.

YOU'RE SO CONFUSING, TYKI! Devit doesn't really see it that way himself, so yeah, that's why he made that assumption. XD (I THINK THIS CAME UP IN THEIR LAST DR THREAD TOO, where Devit was like "why the hell are you even bothering to cover for me, I'm in this deep with everyone now and I'm not getting out.")
