FANBOOK hoooooo

So in my usual LJ trawling I happened upon the lovely symbolism_egg sharing a translation she AWESOMELY DID of Jasdevi's part in the DGM fanbook! This is the same fanbook Devit's stats/favorite foods/etc. come from (not the artbook). The post is here, and endless thanks to her for the translation!

Most of this is stuff we already know but I sort of love it because it's Hoshino's own take on Jasdevi. =D SO HERE IT IS, for reference/amusement (cutting out stuff that requires the images to understand, or stuff that's just plot rehash):

Personality

Their words and actions stand out as being rather childish for their 17 years. They essentially act according to emotion, without putting deep thought into things. At times, a kind of cruelty innate to children shows through.

There's a sense that they're taking the war and their mission as Noahs half in play and enjoying themselves. Perhaps they prefer action to using their heads?

Compared to the carefree Jasdero, Devit has a short temper...

Mission

Their burden of debt foisted on them by Cross during their travels only grows. What's surprising is that, when it comes down to it, they seem to have shouldered the burden.

Power of Imagination

The creativity of children is their weapon!?

On the battlefield, too, Jasdevi used their flexible, wildly playful creativity to toy with Allen and company. One of their strengths is how their rich imaginations allows them to bring their ability into full play.

Sense of Taste

They seem fond of a punkish look with bondage fashion and thick, unusual makeup, as if to hide their neat and tidy true selves. Their fashion sense is also apparent in the clothes they wear after combining.

Their tears wash away their makeup. Does it take time to redo?

Materialization

Jasdevi's ability is the power to materialize what they imagine. This astounding ability contains infinite possibilities depending on the creativity of the users.

They activate their ability by synchronizing their imaginations. As twins, they feel a sense of unity.

Combining

A strong attack in which Jasdero and Devit combine to create "the strongest body" that the two of them imagine. Their fighting abilities in a physical battle rise dramatically, and even Crowley, strengthened by Akuma blood, was overwhelmed.

Literally one in mind and body, they truly become "Jasdevi!" The astounding synchronization abilities of the twins make this possible.

Their defensive powers also rise a level.

AND THAT'S ABOUT IT. Most of that was pretty clear but it's still awesome to see. ALSO OKAY, THEY EXPLICITLY ARE TWINS. In the manga they never call themselves twins! They yell at Tyki when he calls them "the twins." But it seems like that's just because they want to be known as separate entities with separate names, not because they aren't actually twins, which was a little ambiguous before (I thought it was entirely possible that they didn't consider themselves "twins" so much as "two halves"). SO UH, if I have ever had Devit say to you that Jasdero isn't "really" his twin or something THAT IS BEING RETCONNED. Twins they are! They just don't like their names not being used.
