[all of the doors are open; the white room is open but untouched. the other nondescript guest room appears to have been trashed. the master bedroom is at the end of the hall and open, and there's a lump under the covers.]

[pauses at the door of the white room for a moment, just looking at it--then closes the door and keeps going towards the master bedroom and stopping just outside of it]

... may I come in?

[rolls over and pulls down the covers]

Yeah, come in.

[this room is fine except for some clothes on the floor, where he changed.]

[approaches hesitantly, skirting the dropped clothes, and sits on the edge of the bed]

... how are you feeling?

Fine. . . . Bad. Not so bad. I dunno. The same way I've been feeling.
