⌊ chapitre two ⌉ dream; the price of memories
Warnings: Mild spoilers for the manga, don't read if you haven't passed Chapitre 217.
Effects: [OPTIONAL] Surprise at first, though, there is family warmth. The family is reunited, but there is a sense of seriousness, due to the situation.
A void. All that can be seen at first is a black void -- until the appearance of someone familiar appears. That person, if you know him, can be recognized at Watanuki Kimihiro, wearing a white yukata. Soon after, "Syaoran" appears into existence, as well as two other familiar faces.
Their names were Syaoran and Sakura. Of course, Syaoran had the exact same face as himself, and was wearing the same clothes -- the clothes from Clow. But Sakura, was wearing the clothes of the Princess Tsubasa that was in front of her.
Looking back at them, "Syaoran" then asked to himself, confused, "W-What...?" But he too was surprised that Watanuki was here. He wasn't supposed to be here.
"These people..." Watanuki said, just as surprised as "Syaoran" was. That was when "Syaoran" realized it. "...That's not--Sakura. Mother...and father?" They looked at him with solemn smiles on their faces, as if telling him that he was correct.
But without another word, the voice of his own mother said, "Don't worry...it will all be alright."
He then saw his own mother place her hands on her chest and close her eyes, remembering words from long ago, from another time. "That's what she said to me when I met her in a dream...and it gave me strength. The one from another world..." she paused slightly, her smile growing brighter, "...who is the same as me."
Then, soon after, Syaoran, his father, said confidently, "To choose the future."
And with that, the dream ended, as all dreams must end.
...A dream within a dream, huh.
