[Toothless has encountered only one flying dragon here before... and it wasn't overly friendly. Though maybe that had been because he'd been a human at the time.]
[Needless to say, Toothless is wary (it looks MUCH bigger than him...) but he can't help but drift a little closer, out of curiosity.]
[Needless to say, Toothless doesn't understand The Voice-- nor is he entirely sure that the stream of bright fire is a friendly greeting. Like a swallow, he angles in the air and goes zipping downwards, clipping a WIIIIIDE berth around the much-larger dragon.]
[Zipping downwards, he flares his wings and lands at the top of a pine tree, making it bend dangerously under his weight. He regards the giant dragon through wary green eyes as he does so. He judges this to be a safe distance.]
[Needless to say, he doesn't answer the question-- which probably makes him look either deaf or just really stupid.]
[I THINK IT IS.]

[He circles. And then decides, why not? Might as well greet the stranger as he would any other of his kind.]
[... Which means with the use of the Thu'um. The Voice.]
Yol toor shol!
[Unfortunately, this Shout is accompanied by a large gout of fire -- albeit one aimed at empty air, but still.]

[He's still curious... but definitely cautious.]

[The dragon circles again, watching the smaller dragon dive for cover. Curious, he responds in kind, landing in a clear patch, and calling up.]

[And it's not speaking. It isn't even Shouting.]
Geinmaar nis hon zaan. [A pause.] I cannot hear your voice.
Have you the dragon speech?

[He cocks his head to one side.]
[And then opens his mouth and lets out a brief bellow.]
[HI. NOPE. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE SAYING TO ME. BUT HI ANYWAY.]

[What is this. This should not happen.]
... You cannot speak?

[Eyes narrowing, Toothless extends his wings again and flits down from the tree, touching down at the edge of the clearing. Cautiously approaching.]

[His mouth is wide open as he does so-- displaying his...er, toothlessness, as a sort of 'See? I'm no threat, don't hurt me' message.]
