fandom: Charmed -- The Power of Three
Is it any wonder that my first real TV obsession came from a show about three (well technically four) women kicking ass and taking names and generally being awesome?
Forgive the unfancy picspam, but I just had to do a Charmed post.
PRUE HALLIWELL
Smart, determined, and powerful as heck.
At first reluctant to be in any way magical, she ends up taking up the title of "Superwitch"- something that haunts the sisters even after her death.
Powers:
Being a Charmed One, Telekinesis, Astral Projection
PIPER HALLIWELL
Without a doubt, my favorite Halliwell. Piper is strong, witty, loyal, and subtly dangerous.
Always in search of a life outside of magic, she never thinks twice about using her magic gifts to save innocents or protect her family.
Powers:
Being a Charmed One, Molecular Immobilization (freezing), Molecular Combustion (blasting)
PHOEBE HALLIWELL
I often thought of her as the "transition Halliwell" in my head because it seemed like she was forever moving from stage to stage- though to be fair I could say this of all the sisters, Phoebe's just stood out for me. Compassionate, smarter than most gave her credit for, fiercely strong, and packing a lethal roundhouse kick to back it all up.

Being a Charmed One, Premonition, Levitation, Empathy
PAIGE MATTHEWS
The undoubtedly 'independent' sister. She came into the game a little late but soon caught up with incredible speed and passion. Always trying to blaze a path a bit away from her sisters, Paige is however incredibly protective of her family (case in point Cole- suspicions and vanquish attempts and Wyatt's first kidnapping). Creative and instinctual, Paige is a wonderful mix of rebel and sweetheart.

Being a Charmed One, Telekinetic Orbing, Orbing (travel), Glamouring, Sensing, Healing
Honorable Mentions:
SHEILA MORRIS
She didn't get much face time but I always saw her as the girls' sounding board and waited for a day the writers would have them all in a scene together not talking about husbands or magic. What we got from the few times we saw her was a loving, open, and sweet friend to the Charmed Ones (even with Darryl acting up).
PENELOPE (GRAMS) HALLIWELL
Opinionated is a good start to describing her but this does not mean she's unmovable. She's loving, sweet, protective, and the sisters' love for her proves that.
PATRICIA (PATTY) HALLIWELL (ETA'd, thank you moon_destiny)
The proud mother of The Charmed Ones, Patty is a wonderful combination of all her daughters. In her you find Paige's independence, Piper's protectiveness, Phoebe's romanticism, and even Prue's stubbornness.
ELISE ROTHMAN
Phoebe's boss and friend, Elise often played the role of indulgent aunt to Phoebe whether it concerned work or personal issues. The only one outside of her sisters Phoebe would listen to when it came to advice, she is credited with giving Phoebe the chance to grow as 'Ask Phoebe'. Also, at a time when I thought newspaper editors were old grumpy men, she proved an awesome alternative.
