Author's Notes: This was inspired by 'Soft Touch' by the incredible
perverse_idyll, who was generous enough to let me write this. It is an unofficial prequel; my take on what might have led Snape to where he is in that story. I designed it to be as compatible as possible with the original, even though it may not appear that way at first glance :)
