Okay you write good drama but the humour here just ... to put it in scale, it's raining over here and I despise the rain normally, but all the laughs I am getting right now make everything a little sunnier. YEAH, CHEESY METAPHORS.

I think one of my favourite subtleties here is the understated equality, especially for this time period. The whole grandiose ideal that "everyone's trying to rightfully (or mostly rightfully?) scratch out his own living" and the townspeople trust Terezi enough to appoint her as judge when another troll is running amok shooting her sherrif and robbing her banks. It's not a big explicitly-stated deal here, but I thought of it when KK was griping about Terezi. There ares probably troll and human criminals alike, just as there are trolls and humans all over the government. Nobody notices or thinks that there should be anything wrong. No biggie.
