Every time I step outside with something important to do there's a torrential downpour. I left my house and managed (through some miracle) to make it to the bus stop having flipped my umbrella inside out only once. But things in this city never seem to work with me for long. I swear today is the only day in human existence that the bus didn't show up at all. To make matters worse, the wind blew my umbrella inside out a couple more times, and the poor thing proceeded to bend out of shape in such a way that it could not be flipped back again (It's wonderful how you pay money for things you only get to use once). At this point I am soaking wet standing, with a useless umbrella, waiting for a bus that isn't coming while trying to keep myself from blowing away.
So I'm not going to class: I'm nowhere near determined enough to walk for 40 min to school with a broken umbrella while having buckets of water over my head. I can see you pointing and laughing, thing that causes rain, and it's not in the least bit amusing.
Someone needs to invent some sort of hamster ball/portable dry environment type thing for cities where it does nothing but pour. I'll get on that.
I have a job interview this afternoon and I need to not go looking like a drowned rat. Hopefully I will have enough money for a cab ride over to the Marriott, and I hope I will have enough change leftover to take a bus home again. My pants and hair are all wet, and I destroyed half of the paperwork that was in my bag.
Fuck you Halifax.
