Solid Gold Horrors
A suggestion for any of my friends thinking of starting a band any time in the ever: Google. If you think you've found the perfectly perfect name for your band, Google it. If you make Solid Goldesque* American indie rock, maybe you don't want to share a name with a ska band with heavy rockabilly undertones and a British goth-rock band that lists Edward Gorey among its musical influences. I'm just sayin'.
*Not, mind you, that I'm terribly chuffed with Solid Gold on this score, either, "Solid Gold" also being the name of a '70s cover band and a German, um, boy band? I think. It's hard to tell. Anyway. Google. It's your friend.
