Another reason - if another reason were needed - why our President should not be allowed to speak extemporaneously (the subject was the leak of Valerie Plame's name as a CIA agent, which puts Plame & her contacts in considerable danger & is - oh, yeah, a felony):
"Let me tell you: leaking classified information is - is - is - is a bad thing. There's too much leaking in Washington."
Not 'is unconscionable.' Not 'is against the law.' Not 'is a threat to national security.' A bad thing.
But, at last, Shrubya & I agree on something: there is far too much leaking in Washington. But if you'd please just keep your mouth shut 'til the end of your term, Mr. President, I'm sure we can fix a lot of that right up.
