Y'all, I don't usually get emotional at big public spectacles, but I'll tell ya - I got pretty verklempt, there.* I wish I knew how many people at work were watching or listening; when I went around for my morning walk at about 11:40, I saw a larger than usual amount of staring blankly at computer screens, and a whole lot of looking awed.
*Once I got over being gobsmacked at Rick Warren ending the invocation with the Lord's Prayer. I don't know why I was gobsmacked, but there you have it. That'll learn those wimpy NPR liberals to predict that he "might invoke the name of Jesus."
