If you heard
My Three Songs on
The Current today, you heard these songs:
Bob Dylan - "Like a Rolling Stone"
Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen - "Hot Rod Lincoln"
Squirrel Nut Zippers - "Hell"
Those three songs were my three songs, submitted in honor of my dad on the occasion of his 60th birthday (awwwww). I was awfully chuffed to hear them, even if Steve Seel called me "he." I've been called worse. And he said it was "a peerless set," which was gratifying in the extreme.
So happy birthday (again, and belatedly), Dad. Sorry you didn't get to hear your songs. Figures they'd play on the one day you left work early. They sounded really good! And they gave me an excuse to dance around in my cube, which always makes my day brighter.
