a week after spring break....

so i decided that maybe i finally have time to fully update my lj ... spring break times and all! so let it begin: spring break was so great, it was a nice break from busy school work and college shit, miami was so nice! i don't think i'd ever been there before and was very fun to visit with 3 of my best friends! south beach was so pretty... the water was amazingly clean and blue (... unlike key biscayne...)and i just loved the atmosphere that surrounds south beach (opa! and claudio milano!) i really want one of my friends (er, particularly ali or na) to go to UM next year so that i can visit them! lots of good times at miami... but you can read all about those on ali or na's ljs...
then there was state(s) at jacksonville! it always amazes me how crazy fun those science fair trips can be! i'm really going to miss them!! (tear) i got to hang out more with poonam and connie which was nice, but its too bad i'm just getting to know such great research ppl at the end of my senior year. i'm really proud of how everybody did at awards (neha, alexa, andy, max, and na- congrats on the first! chris and connie- we were totally robbed!) yes thats right, psycho girl from MAST academy who cried at symposium because the judge asked her one simple question-- such jazz, i definitely knew ten times more about my project than she did about hers(although, that is just my biased opinion)but the good thing about states, was that bahl and i have reconciled! yes it is true.... oh! and carrie and mike started talking about ISEF and now i'm really excited about my upcoming trip to portland! i'll get to ski for my first time ever! woohoo! (i just need to figure out what i want to do about my board exams... hmm...)
so, last friday night i got back home at 1-2ish in the morning and then i quickly slept for 4 hours only to wake up and leave for Boston! MIT's cpw was so .. err, interesting! at first i was really hesitant about the whole thing, because my host turned out to be really unlike norm. mit ppl... as in her skirt was ridiculously short with a floral print and she had on really high platforms and too much makeup for daytime... anyways she was really nice and all, but it was odd to walk in and have her just be like "hi, these are some other prefrosh who are staying at the sorrority, um... i don't expect you to be out to late, so try to be back at the house around 3 am, or if it turns out that you won't be coming back, then just call me. bye!" ... yea, it was all strange, but i really like mit's campus (the whole infinite corridor and all), and i truly enjoy their residential system (all of the houses are so incredibly nice and clean! ...i enjoyed how simmons, which was inspired architecturally by a sponge, was built with 12 mill. dollars, so they had to waste some money on meditation rooms and dark rooms... ah, mit has way too much funding!) yea, so except for some of the weird prefrosh... mit was good. they gave me 40 dollars to spend on food! and since i only had one night to spend it all, sam, dan, and aaron came over to mit's campus and spent all the money at the campus grocery store! then we played capture the flag in and out of the infinite corridor! (crew for life... jailbreak in lobby 7! mwahaha) yea, so capture flag until 4 am was lots of fun... so fun, that i didn't end up going back to the sorority house.. :)
so, i've been hanging out at tufts a whole lot... jason is cool! (by far my favorite on the hall) brown's preview on wednesday was alright... i don't think i'm going to go there, simply because i want to be a mathematician and brown is better for the humanities and whatnot, and i got to see jay!! woohoo! i love jay! i'm really glad i finally got to see him, esp. since he will not be coming to grad. or my grad party (b/c he hates florida... argh)he seems to be really happy working all day and night and i'm really glad he's going back to RISD next semester. btw, total count of lhp ppl i saw at brown:5: mehtab, jay, josh marshall, paul saldarriaga, and craig young! (i think thats a lot!)
so back in boston... i've been doing a lot of walking! fr. northeaster to mit, fr. tufts to harvard, fr. bu to mit! i'm proud of the way i'm finally figuring out this city! btw, the T is very deceiving! it makes everything seem far away from each other-- but its really not that big of a distance !
i;m supposed to go to bu preview tom. but i don't think i'm going to... i'd rather just chill here at tufts and bug christina! mwahaha... alright, i think this is a long enough post! i'm out...
