YAY!!
i got a JOB!! ok, yeah, it's at Subway. but SO WHAT?! it still pays money! ok, so it's a bit less than i had been making but at least i am making SOMETHING!! and with the hours that i am hopefully going to be getting that will help make up for the cut in amount! and (depending on how long i work there) if i do well then there is the possibility of a raise (slight but still) every 2 to 3 months! and that is AWESOME!! i am going in for training on thursday and then i will be put on the schedule beginning wednesday (thats when their schedule starts).
i also had a good night in class tonight. we have a new girl in our class and she requested to work with me tonight, i asked trina and she was ok with that. so i got to help her out with a few things. she has a little bit of trouble with her punches (if she gets flustered then she sometimes confuses her right and left. i hate when that happens), and with her kick. but this is only the second class that she has been in with us (when you start you get to have a 1/2 hour introductory class to help you decide if it is something that you would like to do and after 4 of those, if you chose to stick with it, you start coming into the full hour/hour & 1/2 class.) but that girl has a wicked side kick! and after class, because we had been working with a block from the first kata we learn (the 5-block) i asked trina to stay so that we could try and teach it to her. we ended up having jeff help us (she did well, but was flustered and therefore confused). and then, after she left, i asked trina to hold the pads so that i could throw, like, 5 kicks! because the other girl is new, she is also learning how to hold the pads right for the other person. i ended up doing 20! THANK YOU TRINA!! and then we had to go so that willie could lock up. oh yeah! tonight was also a stripe test night and so trina and i both got our first orange stripes!
