I've been using magic since before I can even remember. With this-- chip inside of me, it feels like I'm only half of a person, without my magic, I'm nothing, I'm just a nobody from nowhere.

How will I protect Arthur like this? How will I do anything? It's just-- wrongThere's got to be something I can do. There always is ( Read more... )

You can still be you without your magic. Don't be stupid. Its not powers that make anyone themselves.

I won't even ask how you could read that, let's just hope Arthur is as stupid with this as I apparently am.

Believe me, they are. Clearly you don't get told about your destiny involving using your magic every other day.

One of my best friends here is pretty good with computer-things, you'd be surprised how easy it is to access some of the personal stuff... I like to keep track, especially with new people.

Hnph. Destiny's whatever you make of it. You won't be without it forever. There's a way to get it back here.

I'm trying to learn magic from a mage here called Vaati. He waited for it awhile, but...if they ever find out where they've been putting chips in the newer people, you should get it out.

That's what this is called? A computer?

Yyyeah, somehow it always finds its way back here, I'm not worried. I just hope it'll catch up before someone gets killed.

They can get it out, no trouble? As long as they know where it is?

No, but its electronic like it. Haseo says it reminds him of his emails or a blog, a little.

...Your destiny?

The doctors? Sure. They've got a pretty good surgeon here now named Derek Stiles. If Doctor Tam were still around, I'd recommend him too.

....o-kay.

Apparently, it's big. It has a mind of its own.

But he's not, so we'll have to settle for Doctor Stiles. They better find that location soon.

You need to keep your ear to the ground, that's my advice. The doctors don't like letting anyone getting powerful without screening or something, so...they keep it all about the chips kind of hushed up.

I understand. If used the wrong way, magic can be... terrifying.

Vaati went crazy for a few days, when he first got his out. Shrunk people, turned them into stone, or hats, that sort of thing...

He's okay now.

...he turned people into hats.

I'm glad he's alright now, then.

Your powers go out of control a few days, while it readjusts, I guess.
