Handsome Gelding Needs Home ASAP!

LOPE has just received word of a good looking gray gelding at Sam Houston Race Park that needs a new home by this Friday:
Seattle Groom is a 4-year-old @16H gray gelding. Super athletic and eye-catching! He chipped his knee during his last race and needs some rest time. Trainer says he could be a great riding horse after that -- wouldn't need surgery to do trail riding, flat work, etc. The trainer's vet told her that if someone wanted to do the chip surgery, Seattle could do any career, even jumping. Excellent pedigree on this boy -- he is by Runaway Groom and has Icecapade on his dam's side. Click here to see his pedigree.
Located at Sam Houston Race Park. His trainer and owner are fond of this horse -- he would be free to a good home only. He must find a home by this Friday.

LoneStar Outreach to Place Ex-Racers (LOPE) is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit devoted to providing new careers for retiring racehorses of all breeds in Texas. Through its online services and ranch adoption center, LOPE has transitioned over 600 Texas ex-racehorses into new homes since 2003.
2008 Second Annual LOPE Benefit Horse Show is May 31st
Texas Horse Enthusiasts Forum Board members are sponsoring a benefit horse show for LOPE on May 31 at Diamond F Arena in Seguin, TX. It is a fun show for all levels of riders - a great event for families especially. There are many types of classes for English and Western riders of all levels.The show will also include a silent auction fundraiser for LOPE.
