(no subject)
You know what has upset me for years? The fact that my dad never says "bless you" when I sneeze. I say it to him. He's one of those people who's sneezes are so inhumanly uproarious that it wouldn't be right NOT to say it afterwards, but still. If he had a normal sneeze I would still say it. Clearly this is one of those instances where he was raised in a house where no one said bless you after a sneeze, and it carried into his adulthood. That actually wasn't clear at all, I'm just making excuses to comfort myself. It's weird, he actually takes the energy to imitate the sound of my sneeze, but never blesses me for it. Like he actuallys SAYS "achoo!" after I sneeze. Which if you think about it isn't much weirder than saying "bless you" after a sneeze, it's just highly unconventional and, frankly, completely creepy.
I bought more comic books today. This is the first time I've not been embarassed to publicly spend money on them among people I know. I have come to accept the fact that I am a total comic book nerd, and instead of denying it any longer, I shall embrace it. And continue to worship Jhonen Vasquez. If anybody whose reading this knows who he is, please tell me, because how I LONG for someone to discuss his greatness with.
I have to babysit tomorrow night. For the most angelic and obedient little girl on the planet. Aww...poor me...
I can't wait for someone to make a movie out of the Lenore comics. Roman Dirge, this idea could be so profitable for you. Someone get me this soundtrack for my birthday (the one to Nightmare Before Christmas). I've wanted it for years, I don't know why I haven't just bought it. And for all you crazy cats out there that can't remember dates, it's September 25. Fools.
