So, yeah. Today's my 18th birthday. I'm an adult now. Yes. An adult.
...Yeah, I can't stop laughing either. XD
We went to Olive Garden for lunch today. Yum!! If you ever go, try the Fonduta. GREAT antipasta. The new Smoked Motzerella (sp?) Chicken is excellent, too. But I ate so much salad, breadsticks, and fonduta that I had a hard time eating my entree. XD Oh well, I had it for dinner...
I got Mom's 'Kuuipo' braclet, too. ^^ It's a Hawaiian heirloom jewelery thing. When you have a daughter (or, in my Mom's case, when you finally get around to buying one when your daughter is four XD) you buy one for yourself and wear it--usually braclets, although they can come in other things as well. Well, when your daughter turns 18, you give the braclet to her. The traditional way is to do it while your hands are clasped, but I have no idea how they did that, because the braclet isn't THAT big. XD So we just sort of touched our fingers together and moved it from one to the other. So I'm wearing it now. ^^ It's gold, carved with Hawaiian flowers, with the word 'Kuuipo' in black letters. Kuuipo means 'sweetheart' in Hawaiian. ^^
At church, Cody, a friend of mine, couldn't come to my party, so he gave me his present now. Phantom of the Opera on DVD. He's awesome. xD The only thing is, I think NO ONE from my new church can go. See, I scheduled it this saturday...and Dare2Share is this saturday, too. So...it's not that they don't WANT to, they all do. But they're all going to D2S. IT's a big thing, if I knew it was the same day, I wouldn't've done it then...^^; But...
Oh, and our youth pastor, Fernando, gave out roses to all the girls going to POTO, attatched with all the info about going to the play in black ribbon. Of course, most of the girls who are going weren't there. There were...like...8 roses still in the bucket when he was done. I think he was really disappointed. ^^;; Well, I would be, if I bought red roses for all these girls who didn't show up.
Oh! But he announced to us...he and his wife are having another baby! ^_^ YAY!
Um...let's see...what else...
I think that's it. Yep.
Wait, one more thing:
http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/news/article.adp?id=20051107152609990002So, some newspapers are going to publish american comics done in the manga-style. Truthfully, I'm interested. Most manga/anime fans are all "BLARGH AMERICANS COPYING ANIME SUCKS", but considering that the anime style came from copying Disney's style, we can't complain that much, can we? Besides, some anime-influenced works, like Teen Titans and MegaTokyo, are FREAKING. AWESOME. So I'm interested. XD
