From Funimation's Ouran website:

"You can catch episode 1 with Vic and me at 2pm on Sunday at Nan Desu Kan in Denver THIS COMING WEEKEND!"

OKAY, SO, NOW YOU'LL ALL KNOW WHERE I'LL BE AT 2 ON SUNDAY. OKAY? MMKAY.

Lame entry is lame, I know.

I know, I know, but I can't help my fangirl leanings.

Besides, even if it's a trainwreck, I want to know. I already have the DVD preordered, but.

*also offers up the fact that not all of the panels she's planning on going to concern voice acting?*

Uch, it's not just that I don't like dubs. I support Ouran getting subbed and dubbed and all that. It's just that even if I liked dubs, this would still make me cringe. Vic is always getting cast in roles that don't fit him at all. I mean... Tamaki? Hell no. His voice just don't work.

Plus his personality just grates on my nerves. Always preaching about God, trying to force it on people, and he can be so immature. Normally an actor's personality doesn't matter to me, but I think dealing with him personally has really left me biased. Jeez, the few times I spoke to him on AIM, I wanted to locate his address just to kick his ass.

Yeah, I know. I used to be a big fan of Vic's, but he's sort of lost me with the way he behaves. The preaching about God I don't mind since I'm a Christian myself--I actually sort of LIKED that at first--but to me there's a big difference between saying you're beliefs and things like about how he feels really blessed, and then going around and shoving his opinions down people's throats. In the end he's hurting more than helping, and that bugs me. I don't think it's a very good example.

EDIT: I should clarify, when I say "I don't mind preaching about God" I mean I don't mind and actively enjoy people expressing their beliefs at appropriate times--even those I agree with. (I'm 99% sure that Chris Patton and I are on entirely different ends of the political scale, for example, but I wouldn't mind him bringing something like that up if he wasn't bashing or forcing it.) But what bugs me is Vic being a little forceful about his opinions and--particularly--assuming things about shows he's been in just because...he's been in them. That ( ... )

I'm Christian too, and I don't mind people expressing their beliefes. But he does shove it down people's throats, and even went so far as to say that Ed worshipped God. ED. From FMA. Ed REJECTS God, and doesn't believe in him. That is canon. Vic is...delusional.

So yeah. He bugs me. But even if he didn't, I just can't see his voice being right for Tamaki at all.

Yeah. That's the sort of thing I mean. I make a point of not going against canon when it comes to things like religious beliefs when I write and RP. It's just really sort of stupid.
