I know it's silly, but...I want to do the song-based drabbles meme again. XD;; It was such a good writing exercise, to be forced to only write for three minutes or so...so I thought I might try it again, this time just focusing on Mytho. (His muse is with me currently, I suppose.)

And yes, I know it's late, but I haven't written much in so long that I'm starving for it. ^^;

So, anyway. Ten more song-based drabbles, focusing on Mytho.

1. Dissolved Girl -- Massive Attack

When Mytho was slowly regaining his heart, he began to find himself puzzled by Rue. There was something about her that intrigued him, drew him to her. It wasn't love--or, at least, not just love. That was certainly there, deep within, but at the time he didn't even have that heartshard. No, it was something more than that...when he regained Curiosity it filled his mind with questions, keeping him up at night with the whys. Why does she look at the other girls in class that way? Why do I feel like she's like me?

After he regained his heart and reflected back on it, he was able to understand the emotion better: she was lonely, just like him. Unable to connect to people without his lost heart...one of the first emotions to return to him was loneliness, and without a heart to connect to others he had no way to assuage the feeling. He was always so lonely then...

He promised himself he'd stay by her side always, so she'd never feel that way again. (Secretly, it was for himself also.)

2. Escuchame (Listen to Me) -- Jaci Velasquez

Mytho liked to give out advice. (No, Siegfried now, he reminded himself--his name was Siegfried.) He couldn't help it--years of wandering without his heart gave him experience beyond what appeared to be his age, and he truly did want to help people. So he gave advice to everyone he could--the people at court, the servants, the gardener (Fakir had allowed him to read gardening books without his heart--they weren't dangerous at all, in Fakir's mind), even Rue. When Rue finally got up the courage to tell him that his constant 'help' was starting to become an annoyance, he stared at her with wide eyes. "Really?"

3. Inch -- Charlotte Martin

Slowly, very slowly, the carriage pulled away from the town, up up up into the sky. Siegfried's eyes remained focused on the town as they flew away, the sound of swan wings flapping echoing in his ears. There, there was the pizzaria. He'd had ice cream there once. It was good. There was Charon's house--his home for a time. (He'd have to do something to thank the man someday.) There was the Academy...he wondered how Professor Cat was doing, now that the story was over. Was he a human now?

"My Prince?"

"Mm?"

"What are you looking at?"

He turned back to Rue and smiled. "It's nothing."

4. Misery Business (acoustic) -- Paramore

"My Prince, you belong to me."

The Raven wrapped her arms around him, possessively, sensually. He looked up at the Princess through lowered eyelids, golden eyes nearly blank, but not quite, the stirring of a missing emotion. What was it? "Kraehe?"

Princess Tutu would say it wasn't right, Fakir would fight and scream like a child throwing a temper tantrum, but she wouldn't let the Prince go. She smirked delicately in their direction.

"I've got him now."

5. Bonus Track -- Cast In Bronze

The Prince liked to spend time in the gardens. They were always a peaceful place, good for when he needed to slip away from the Courts and reflect to himself.

In the middle of the gardens was a large pond--nearly a lake--where a swan had soon decided to take residence. He always wondered about her--she was alone, there was not another swan in sight. Shouldn't their be others?

"Are you lonely?" he asked her one day, sitting down on the bank, white hair framing his face. "It's not that I don't enjoy your company, but don't you want to be with other swans?"

The swan merely bowed her head gracefully, gently touching his hand with her beak.

"Well, I am glad you're here."

6. Mysterious Chocolate -- Yamashita Kousuke

Mytho felt a thrill of excitement as the train rounded the corner--Hogwarts! He was finally going to Hogwarts! "Fakir, Fakir look at it! Oh wow, it's huge!"

"It's not that great," his best friend muttered. He had already been at Hogwarts for a full year--he wasn't going to act like some giddy first year. (Although it was rather large...)

"What house do you think I'll be sorted in? I hope it's Slytherin, like you!"

"Hn," Fakir responded with a shrug of his shoulders. He couldn't see his friend actually being sorted into his house, as nice as it'd be--Mytho was far too sweet for a house like Slytherin. Knowing him, he'd probably be a Hufflepuff...

The train was slowing. Soon, his first year would begin...

7. The Call -- Michael W. Smith

Something pulled him to Tutu. He wasn't sure what it was--his broken heart couldn't find the words to describe it--but there was something. Maybe it was the desire to have his heart returned to him. Maybe it was how mysterious she was--coming at random moments and returning shards to him, then dancing off like Cinderella at the stroke of midnight before he could figure out what it was.

When he first received Curiosity back, it bothered him so much it kept him up the entire night. Who was she? Why did she make him feel this way--like a light briefly shining in his incomplete heart? What did she think of him? Why could she never stay? Why would she never answer when he asked? Why, why, why, why?

After his heart was tainted, things changed--it hurt to think of her. Her light blinded him, made the darkness now trying to take over his heart battle and struggle for control. It was like a hundred ravens all clawing and pecking at his heart, bent on destroying him. He wanted to fight it, but it was so much easier to give in, so much easier to not reach for that light, so that the pain would subside and he'd be at peace again.

But then again, it wasn't really peace, was it? So still the questions remained--why, why, why, why...?

...Okay, so I didn't do ten, but I've hit a brick wall. XD; I must be too tired now...I think I'm going to go to bed soon. (...but I still don't feel that tired..)
