Fathers and Fics
I had a bit of a "*facepalm*" moment last night.
I was cleaning out my inbox when I noticed I got one of those e-mail alerts telling me I had a new review for one of my stories on FF.net. In it, it was Mangaka-Chan wondering about the disconnect between the image that we get of Autor's father in Fic #2, and the image that we get in the most recent one.
There IS actually a reason for this, and I was going to explore it more with the "nostalgia" theme, but...that was...yesterday. XD;; And I didn't see the e-mail until 12:15 am, so it was too late at that point.
Mangaka-chan's right, I do need to do some more exposition on his father in the fics (since they're all sort of loosely connected), but...now I need a new theme for it. XDXD *checks the themes for this month*
Well....there's "April 16: Time", as well as "April 21: Love and hatred"...Love and Hatred seems like it could work really well, if I go with the (slightly A/U?) idea I had about why Autor is a music student, and not a literature student. (A/U because I don't think the school actually HAS a lit department, but I'm not sure.)
Tomorrow's theme, "Whispers" will probably have a little bit more on Autor's father...maybe. I'm going to try to work on it some today (since today's theme, "under the shade of flowers", makes no sense to me. How can you be under the shade of a flower? Am I supposed to be writing about an ant? Or a very large, man-eating plant? Autor in a school production of Little Shop of Horrors?)
At leat Mangaka-chan reminded me that I needed to do that, who knows when I would've remembered? XDXD;;;
In other news...after I finished my Autor set...I've been thinking. Do you think people would be interested in these for the four main characters, too? It'd take me...like...six months to finish all of those challenges, but it might be sort of fun.
..Plus, part of me is thinking I could print them up nicely and give each set as a gift to the actors in the dub that played the characters (assuming I could hunt them down, and then had the nerve to give it to them). ...Is Adam Conlon even a guest at cons very often? (Wiki is failing me, they don't even have an entry for him. For shame, guys. Unless he doesn't WANT to be on Wiki, which I could see..) I wonder how I'll get Autor's fics to him...
I'd almost be sort of embarrassed to give Autor's fics to him, they're so...angsty. XD;; But maybe he'd still like them? I hunted down an interview with him, and he seems like he'd maybe appreciate what I'm trying to do for Autor...I dunno. I'd feel sort of nervous giving that as a gift because it's almost like I'm assuming I'm a good writer.
Maybe I could ask NDK if they'd invite him this year? (I wish I could tell them "INVITE ANYONE HAVING TO DO ANYTHING WITH TUTU." XD)
