It's mostly annoying, cause now I have to wait till April like everyone else, instead of getting it all set and done in February.

here's my advice: send them a letter telling them you REALLY want to go and if they take you off the wait list you will ABSoLUTELY attend. cause the whole point of the wait list is to make sure they fill their freshman class, so if they know they can count on you, they'll be more likely to take you. then after you send the letter, forget about it and get really excited about another school. and if all goes well you'll get a call saying they want you.

at this point last year i didn't believe people actually got in off wait lists, and then i had the most amazing moment of my life when i got a call from stanford. it does happen, don't COUNT on it happening, but if you send the letter you'll improve your chances a lot.

That's actually the exact same advice my dad gave me. I told him I'd do it, but I didn't know if it would make a differance. But I guess you're living proof that it does, no?

what school did you get wait listed for? i got wait listed for stonybrook and had a few more letters of reccommendation sent and i got in -

Ohh, it was Brandeis, lol. I said that in my last post, so this was sort of a follow-up to that.
I dunno what exactly is gonna happen. I won this award thing since I sent in the app, so I'll tell them about that, and I'll find some other stuff, I guess, but they're gonna notify me in May or so, which is after you usually have to decide what school you're going to, so it may just not work out that way.

By the way...you're at Stony Brook? So tell me -- we've been living within walking distance of eachother for the entire year, and why havn't we hung out?
