Hope everyone had fun over Christmas

I had a lovely relaxing time with the Hubby & kids, and got lots of lovely pressies with a fair quota of chocolate thrown in, so I have few complaints.

Best pressies: Red Door perfume and two cute rubber stamps from my lovely Hubby!

Spoke to my Mum in Australia and my brother in England, watched "102 Dalmations" and "The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" with the kids, then "Corpse Bride" and "Kinsey" with the Hubby later.

We didn't get to the beach on Christmas day as planned, because (how surprising) the weather was crap, but we had a picnic on the lounge floor, which consisted of salads and leftovers from our wonderful Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve (Hubby cooked that, I did potato salad and got other stuff organised for Xmas lunch), and we just blobbed. Was nice.

Boxing Day was much better weatherwise and we got to the beach (yay!) although the wind put me off a bit. The water was wondrously warm though and the Hubby and kids swam while I read my book and lay about like a semi-beached whale. Didn't stay too long as LF was getting shivery (thank you Gods of Wind - hmm, rather like politicians, eh? Although at least that's hot air...), but it was nice and our first foray to the sea for the season. Spent the rest of the day reading my book at home after we'd cleared up.

Today I went back to work, which was a bit blech (as was the weather again, where the hell is summer?), but I worked resonably hard in between the necessary breaks *grin*, and I only had to do 7am-12.30pm so it wasn't so bad. Same again for tomorrow, and Fri I finish at noon, so not a bad week for getting another four days off at the end of, I say.

After work tomorrow, I'm going to see "Happy Feet" with my sister and my girls, so that'll be fun. Hopefully N1D will realise I'm not really the world's most evil mother, as she seems to be believing tonight because I "always" tell her off about stuff that naturally she was just going to do... *sigh*

Oh, the book I read wasn't even slashy: "Rage" by Jonathon Kellerman. Quite good.

Hope you all had as much fun!
