Okay, it's already 12.45, what's another half-hour?

Yes, yes, it's me. I am still alive, in case you wondered. God knows where I've been, fantasising about living in Karl's backyard perhaps. No, actually, I think it was Josh's pocket... oh what the...?

Yes, obviously the Magic Midnight button has been pressed. (only 108 minutes to go til I hit it again). Yeah, right.

HAPPY EASTER! well, it still makes me laugh, but then I'm weird, or so they say. This, I mean:

Oh, yeah... bathroom's going alright, but still not finished. we are showering, that's something anyway. Hopefully we might have a functioning bath and basin soon - I mean, why do I suddenly now get the urge to have a bath (and not once, but twice?)... when we haven't got one that works? Oh crap, PMS... or sheer contrariness, or somesuch.

And headless chook day being what it is, I am a genius, apart from the bit where I allowed LF to stand on my sore toe FOUR times, I kid you not (Made me limp thereafter too, dammit). Got N1D's best friend's mother to collect her from the gym tonight, thus allowing me to stay at Brownies for N2D's enrolment; which was supposed to be last week when N1D was kept home from gym (in theory illness, in practice it made sense) and Hubby could've come along, but damn it if the Brownie leader didn't get taken to hospital (don't worry, nothing major and she's okay) and throw all that planning to the wind.

So, it happened for real tonight when Hubby had to stay at work (as it's payday tomorrow and being Easter he HAD to get payroll done today), and getting the friend's mother involved was a last minute stroke of luck, and she is wondrous!!! Mind you, I had her two kids after school Mon & Tues as she was in Wellyboot (okay, Wellington, if I must be technically correct), so she could sort of owe me. She usually brings N1D home from Guides on a thursday too though, so not strictly sure if that qualifies, I maybe still owe her?

Anyway, survived the craziness of today (including the little gib-stopping man sitting on my front path for two hours while he waited to be picked up... weird. Didn't ask him in because I didn't realise he was still here for an hour, and then I was blue-assing all over so couldn't, plus his English wasn't good, bit hard to get any messages across. From Laos, Vietnam or Cambodia, perhaps, at best guess) and I'm now officially on holiday until the 25th April. Yeeha! Tomorrow's objective (if I ever get out of bed, considering the time right now): Help girls clean their room, which by rights should have exploded by now, gotta love 'em.

Total holiday objectives: Bathroom finished, two outings for each child in total, winter clothes sorted out, labels in said clothes, two fics written, bed before midnight after today, LF trained back into sleeping in his own bed for the whole night, much chocolate consumed (thank the *insert deity here* for combining Easter with PMS this year), and finally: no arguments over the computer!!! If I can survive 11 days with my children, I can surely survive nuclear disaster. Right?

On another note: 1/ Movie: "Mysterious Skin" (will be watching when I can get it) and 2/ Music: "Cab" by Train (am I still obsessed? Why, yes I am, thank you! Why do I love it? Let me count the ways...)

Oh, and... if I don't answer comments or post too much, you'll understand, right? It's the Holidays, I must pay attention to my kids, dammit! (and we won't even go into how much I'd like to sit here for the next 11 days and ignore them... *sigh* No, we are going to be really really responsible parents and parent them, like as in, do stuff with them, right?)
