It's that time of the year when...

Yes, everyone's starting to think about Christmas. Now, my family usually plans this reasonably late (not by now, anyway!) and we end up at someone's house with everybody bringing some food - sometimes lunch, sometimes dinner, and usually between 7 and 20 people, depending who's around, and the cost is usually reasonable, even if we do have to cook.

This year, my sister (& her hubby, no kids) have gotten in early and decided they want to go to a restaurant, which is all well and good, would save some of the hassle, etc, but for me and my brood to attend, will cost us in the vicinity of $360.00... s'okay for her, as the two of them will be $200.00 (bad enough in my opinion, but affordable on two incomes with no kids).

So, I guess I know what we're NOT doing...
