So it turns out, despite my early hopes of working in NYC this summer, that I will be back in Singapore. I'm interning at a corporate law firm that my uncle is a partner in (oh joy, corporate law. bleargh). The upside is that I'll finally have something to put on my resume besides debate stuff, and the downside is that I'll be the one intern with no legal training whatsoever. Thank goodness for family, or I'd have ended up working in New Jersey, which, while proximate to new york in geography is NOT an acceptable place for me to spend a summer. Anyway, this means that contrary to my expectations, I won't miss the JC nationals, and will not go a year without seeing the people back home. Thats good. The problem is it means I have to live with my grandmother for the summer. I don't know if my parents will be ok with me moving out to an apartment, but I certainly hope they will be, and that there are apartments with such short leases. Sigh. I don't want to have to deal with any craziness this summer, and now that I'm used to my happy single with no interference, Singapore might be a bit of a culture shock.

Also, I totally want to coach a team this summer. :) Someone should offer me a job.
