We talked of magic. And of myth and lore
of wicked and noble deeds and more.
But none of these were so far gone
than that of Babylon, oh Babylon.
We journeyed to places far and wide
Seeing mountains, oceans and the dead alive.
But together ever vigilant we marched on
to that great city Babylon, sweet Babylon.
Together we faced our demons, spectres and then
the hour glass ended and left us both for dead.
So we went our separate ways, as star-crossed lovers only do,
but may you remember me, as I will remember you.
Remember sunny days and dining with the Fae.
Remember the season of fall in every single way.
Remember how we almost died, but overcame despair.
Remember all the warm and power and magic in the air.
And so we'll travel, each alone, until the time is fair.
You by your candle fire and I by my wings and air.
Both defying gravity, even though they say it's wrong.
Until the day our paths cross again, in that fair city
called Babylon, oh Babylon.
