1. Pass the tongue over (something), typically in order to taste, moisten, or clean it.

One day, Myungsoo wakes up, and realises that he doesn’t feel quite right.
“Hyung,” he tries to say to the lump under the blankets next to him, but his words come out rather…slobbery.
The lump next to him shifts and yawns.
“Myungsoo, what the fuck did you wet the- OH MY FUCKING GOD,” Hoya screams, scrambling away from under the blankets and pressing himself against the wall furthest away from Myungsoo, horrified.
Myungsoo blinks. His eyes feel bumpy and kind of pink. “Hoya hyung. Wait, why are you in Dongwoo’s-”
“I DON’T THINK THAT’S IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW,” Hoya squeaks uncharacteristically and scrambles to stand up. He covers his eyes with his hands. Then uncovers them. Then covers them again.
“What’s wrong?” Myungsoo asks, and tries to get up, but then realises that he has no arms, and that his skin is rather pink.
“Myungsoo,” Hoya frowns, “I’m pretty sure you just turned into a…giant…tongue.”
“What?” he slobbers, and Hoya cringes and hurriedly wipes at his face where specks of saliva have landed.
“Just…wait a moment I think I better make sure I’m not going crazy first and then maybe get Sunggyu hyung and the others OH GOD WHAT-”
The door to the room slams shut as Hoya makes his hasty escape, and Myungsoo-the-tongue slumps down a little mournfully, as a tongue does when it’s been abandoned.
Five minutes later, everyone in Infinite is crowded around the tongue-formerly-known-as-Myungsoo.
“Oh dear,” Sunggyu murmurs, and Myungsoo thinks it might just be the understatement of the year.
“I’ve never seen you this pink,” Sungjong marvels, and pokes at a taste bud. Myungsoo growls a little, and Sungjong withdraws his hand quickly, making a disgusted face at the saliva covering his hand.
“Wait,” Sungyeol starts, “if he’s a tongue, then how come he can talk?”
“Does that really matter?” Woohyun chokes out. “He’s a fucking tongue! How are we supposed to go onstage with this thing?”
Dongwoo just coos and flaps his wings.
“That thing too,” Woohyun sighs wearily, and grabs Dongwoo by the neck.
Maybe it’s the extra-sensitive tastebuds talking, but Myungsoo suddenly really really feels like eating roast pigeon. But wait, he’s a human, he reminds himself, and humans don’t eat each other’s bandmates.
“Well, fuck.” Sunggyu says eloquently. “I think we should tell them that Myungsoo has a very contagious case of malaria.”
“But malaria’s not contagious…” Sungyeol interjects, and Woohyun shoots him a glare.
“Okay, Hoya, you stay with him, make sure he doesn’t slobber over my CD collection, we’ll go sort something out,” Woohyun says, and they all file out of the room, leaving Hoya with a very dejected pink thing by his side.
There’s a silence.
“Myungsoo, I just want you to know that I am not comfortable with you licking me,” Hoya cringes as Tongue-soo (as he’s nicknamed him) sidles up to him.
“But I’m cold,” Tongue-soo whines, quivering, pink tastebuds much too exposed to the winter air.
“I swear one of these days I’m going to catch a plane to Australia and never come back.” Hoya massages his temples. “Okay, what do you say to a nice hot bath? Come on.”
(Myungsoo turns back to normal ten minutes into the bath. There’s absolutely no reason, but he thinks that maybe having Hoya’s hands all over his pink fleshy body washing him satisfied his tongue-self’s licky needs. He kinda tastes nice.
Sungjong bursts into the bathroom at that moment.
“Manager hyung says it’s- Oh my god, hyung, my innocence,” he shrieks, and Myungsoo rolls his non-tastebuddy eyes.
Hoya groans and throws the sponge into the bath, headbutting the wall repeatedly.)
