To most people, Anyband seems to demand Tablo/Boa!fic. I, however, have been listening to Rainy Day on repeat and thereby solidifying Junsu's spot as The Favorite, and so I wrote this. Beta once again by the unparalleled

Not Just Any
pairing: Junsu/Boa

Junsu nods dumbly and wonders if he is imagining the sadness in the corners of her eyes. )
WHAT I STARTED WRITING:

"Maybe this was a bad idea," he tells her, desperately wishing he could say something nicer, like I missed you or I like your hair, will you keep it this way? "Maybe you should go."
"Won't you sit?" she asks pointedly with a raised eyebrow, patting the coverlet beside her. Her thighs are bare in her tiny shorts, her skin tan against white cotton.
Against his better judgement, Junsu does.
So they sit. The city is alive outside, loud and boisterous. A bit like Seoul, a bit like Tokyo, altogether nothing like either of them at all. Junsu feels hot, cold, bothered. It was really a bad idea. Boa looks calm, soft, inviting in the gentle lamp light and Junsu would like to just hide against her, get lost in her warmth.
He can't, though - it would be against everything right in their world and he- Can't. Just can't. It's best not to even think about all the reasons for that, because listing them would want to make Junsu find a way out and that's exactly what he ( ... )

Why did we write the same fic, but not? And why is yours so much better than mine? I feel sad that I have cut your shiny off at the pass with my less-shiny.
Still, clearly this means that we are destined for each other. I WILL ACCEPT THE RING.
