Rubis Brainstorm
Well, my friend and I decided that we would roleplay since we hadn't in what seemed like YEARS. I was kinda iffy about it because I felt like I would be completely rusty at it and not know what the hell I was doing. But then I remembered all this fan fiction that I had been writing and it's essentially the same thing. Then came the problem of what we were going to roleplay and what characters were going to be used! So I put my old noggin to work and here's what I came up with.
This post is more of a brainstorm post and I intend on elaborating and expanding things here into something bigger. Maybe I can write a book or something, who knows. It has potential in my eyes, so just let me know if you like, or if you don't! I'm thinking of naming it Rubis.
The story is set in an alternate future of Earth in the year 2103. Things have changed so drastically that you would not think that this is the same Earth. There are no longer countries and continents. They are now known as "Sectors" ranging from number 1A to 9G. There is but one central government, known as Luna Soris who has total rule over Earth and is comprised of 7 members, each ruling over a numbered sector.
Most of the Earth's fossil fuels have been used up from the third world war that has been going on for nearly 100 years now. Therefore causing an even bigger gap from the wealthy and the poor. Poverty and sickness have hit an all time high, resulting in more crime and more murder.
The biggest human advancement that has been made in 100 years is that humans now inhabit the Moon, which has been renamed and is now universally called Luna. And although people do live here, they are there strictly for scientific purposes. These scientists are trying to create a new way to live, a way without the fossil fuels that we had become so dependent on.
