My Morning Buzz

Nov 15, 2007 07:12

I really like being here at Starbucks early in the morning working on design projects. It's even making me like Flash and HTML. I strategically placed myself so I could see outside and look at the fog attempting to encroach north Davis. I miss fog. Overall sitting here reminds that there is so much more to life than driving red buses in circles (which is fun) and if I stay in the valley I most likely will not get to take those opportunities. I never thought I would be so eager to move back to Oakley. I mean, me, the person who would get depressed just driving down Highway 4 is excited about going back. I think it's less of Oakley that excites me and more of the change and moving toward the Bay. Bummer the fog is starting to burn off and it's only 7:15.

I think a little change every now and then is good for people. I'm a bit nervous about my interview this afternoon. In fact I probably should not be having coffee right now. I started a trend of not having coffee until after my interviews following the debacle of my Supe interview a year and a half ago when the entire hiring committee (which had single one of the managers-outgoing and incoming-sitting on the committee) could tell that I was extremely nervous due to the large amounts of caffeine I had ingested just prior. I don't think my venti PSL at 7 a.m. will really affect my 2 p.m. interview, but you never know.

coffee, design, starbucks, interviews, fog
