Alright, here's how this works. List below the top ten songs that you more or less feel have defined your existence, and why. Simple as that.
1. dredg- Same ol' Road
Not my favorite song by my favorite band, but it is the song that got me into them. It tells about the things in life you need "All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood..." and is not only inspirational to me, but also uplifting with it s persevering themes.
2. Clann Zu - You're Listening to a Dead Man Speak
This song sends chills down my spine whenver I hear it, it is so powerful. It just epitomizes the essence of loneliness.
3. Declan de Barra - Throw Your Arms Around Me
Shows the love and support that I am willing to offer to those close to me.
4. Tool - Schism
"Pure intention juxtaposed will set two lovers' souls in motion"
5. Sufjan Stevens - John Wayne Gacy Jr.
This song carries a powerful message. We all have our problems, even when we try to be good.
6. Sinch - The Silent Acquiescence of Millions
Brings the message across that far too many people are content with mediocre and never live their lives to the fullest.
7. The Mayan Factor - Gosia
I'm not entirely sure what this song is about, but it sounds so reassuring musically.
8. Pink Floyd - Welcome to the Machine
"Haunting" is the word for this song. It's bleak, and true to life in a way.
9. King Crimson - Epitaph Including March For No Reason And Tomorrow And Tomorrow
Some of the most beautifully poetic lyrics I have ever heard. I would use this song as closing credits if I ever made a movie.
10.Radiohead - True Love Waits
One of the most reassuring messages out there.
