(mostly as a way to generate and stimulate conversation for those who may not be involved in other social media outlets and aren't keeping up with the footie world on their own)

It annoys me how much the media sensationalizes De Gea's presence in Madrid. HE'S SPANISH. HIS GIRLFRIEND LIVES THERE. LET HIM LIVE?? The common news item I see is that United won't give up De Gea if Sergio isn't included in the deal. But United are shooting themselves in the foot if they give up De Gea for ANYONE. Not even Sergio can save their defense. It's better for both parties if they just... butt off. And no thanks to Vidal, too.

I never realized that our captains have always been Spanish, save for that one time. I'm all for Marcelo being captain. I'm still holding on to hope that Iker and Sergio (or at least one of them) will still stay but I will welcome the armband on Marcelo. If we go by seniority, would the hierarchy be Marcelo -> Pepe -> Arbeloa -> Cris (who is already a captain without an armband, lbrh)? Shudder at the thought of Arbeloa actually wearing the armband.

I wish they could come back to Australia for the pre-season so I can save up and actually be there!! Will be looking forward to the Real Madrid vs. Tottenham Hotspur friendly since my ex likes the Spurs so I want us to crush them. :))

I'm still wondering who will be the galactico this season. All I know is I don't want it to be De Gea. Shame about Pogba being more likely to end up at Barfa.

It does seem like 2015/16 will not be a season to look forward to but you know what? You'll never know unless you try. I'll set my expectations low for my sake and just hope for the best. :))))

And a general thing - lols at the idea that it would be Rafa who made the decision to change the system. No way that decision would be made without Flo's consent. Except of course if it goes wrong and turns out to be unpopular. Then it will have been aaaaall Rafa's decision ;-)

I feel like Flo would prefer Marcelo out of all of these candidates for captain, like, he would not want Cris because it would give him too much power...Marcelo seems to be the one to cause him the least amount of problems...I just don't know if Marcelo would stand up to Perez like Sergio and Iker have in the past??
