Pepe buys 9,000 kilos of food to give to 200 families
Opportunities to see football players’ generosity don’t come along every day. Even though they appear to be distanced from reality, they are actually committed to helping others, especially the most disadvantaged. Many of them come from working class families themselves and, where they can, they help those that need it most, often looking to do so with as much discretion as possible.
The latest gesture of this nature came from Pepe. The Real Madrid player paid for 9,000 kilos of food out of his own pocket and was involved in distributing the packages to disadvantaged families the Madrid neighbourhood of Las Rozas, where the Portugal international lives. With the amount of food purchased Pepe’s idea was to ensure that these people also have a Merry Christmas.
