There was an article in Marca "sources close to the player" (that's code for Kaka) where that source (again: almost certainly Kaka himself) said he wasn't played when in good health, was ignored in practice, was dropped when in form for out-of-form players etc...

Which is something we can kinda-sorta verify...

his time at real madrid has just been SO UNLUCKY. idk why this is happening to him :( did mourinho get pissed at kaka kidnapping his dog or something. if kaka stays, i really hope ancelotti will give him a proper 100% chance, even until january i will be happy, just so he can prove himself. it's just so unfortunate that this is happening to him, and really killing his chances at being on the brazil NT team, which i think is his ultimate goal :(

which is why he should leave, or honestly, should have already left a year ago.

I really don't think Mourinho shunned him or treated him badly. Ozil has more than deserved being in the starting 11 and Kaka had a bad injury and hasn't been back to his Milan self.

It's not Ozil - the bitterness is probably over di Maria playing even when out of form ( ... )

Yes to ALL THIS. I think it would be in his best interest to go to a new club, but if he was given a real chance with us and played instead of DiMaria, that would be good for us.

Ozil was not the same this season, he was much better in his first and second season imo kaka should've started instead of him in at least some matches idk

Ozil wasn't our 10 this year. He was our right-winger - a position Kaka CANNOT play in.

Modric was pretty crap when he arrived. Kaka should have played then.

Y'know, I completely forgot we have a Modric on our team until you just mentioned right now. That must be the person Kaka was hinting at then... Ozil hasn't been thaaaaat bad this season. Imho it's been Ozil > DiMaria > Modric for sure, while Kaka is just MIA ;___;

Actually, tactical pundits like Michael Cox, Jonathan Wilson, and various editors from Marca consider this Ozil's best year with us ( ... )

I don't think it's fair to say that he was our RW last season - even if he was on the right in the two of the most important and hopeless games this season, the first semi against Dortmund and the final against Atleti, he only started on the right twice in the league and a few times in the early rounds of the Copa. He played in 52 games for Madrid last season and by far most of those games were as a CAM.

But I'd agree that Modric was Kakas main competition last season. Hopefully this season it will be Isco, with Modric deployed further back.

My vague bitterness speaking - as I think you know ;)

You are correct, of course. And you are so gloriously objective <3

I have great, great sympathy for vague bitterness in the direction of last season <3!

I still think he's better off leaving and becoming the honest-to-goodness centre-piece of another team - but I can understand the desire to stay too. Not least: his salary which (I would remind the tumblr idiots) HE IS ENTITLED TO UNDER HIS CONTRACT.

I have ZERO time for people turning that into a moral issue.

Not inordinately - but footballers have short careers, and they have to be sensible!
