lmao @ Coentrao

My poor bb hedgehog! He didn't even know what was going on and Benze was just laughing and laughing. Not even Cris was on his side. lmao

And Ozil clearly still has no clue what the hell anyone is saying. XD

How can they not have told him he's not on the roster? I feel for the poor guy. He keeps saving our asses and working his off when ever he's on the pitch, and Marca seems to be campaining to get rid of them and just fuck them and fuck all the fans that don't appreciate him, because just look at him out there.

Also, Varane's message on his facebook today killed me. 'Je suis triste'. Oh, baby. :(

wasn't there some poll that said a lot of fans wanted him to go? :/// he's been really good this season and his friendship with cristiano is cute ):

He was given as a choice on Marca's poll, in which, out of the choices given (on who they would want to see leave), he and Essien received the least amount of votes. That's not how they spinned it, though.

Ohh that makes a lot more sense. Marca's article was just like "HERE ARE THE PLAYERS PPL HATE AND WANT GONE .....to varying degrees"

Yeah, the whole things was mainly people who Marca want gone. Smh.

I don't understand those fans. Fabio's had a solid season and a few moments where he really shone on the field. idgi

I can sympathise with people who simply prefer Marcelo, I think he's a great player too. But wanting Coentrão gone, tho? Like, what has he even done this season that would warrant anyone wanting him gone? idgi either.

It's not just this season, a very er... vocal group of fans never quite warmed up to him. From what I gathered, the main argument was him being over-priced (though in reality it's probably a combination of him being portuguese + his agent being JM).

And those smoking pictures didn't happen with his popularity.

I don't imagine either of those things would have been such a big thing if it hadn't been for the campaigning against him from the start, though. Mesut got caught smoking too, and the fans have really taken to him. I also don't really get the price tag thing, with the way this club keeps wasting money (and obvs. from my point of view, there wasn't enough money in the world for me to want to give DiMa and him up), would it really be such a big deal to fans if it weren't for the press?

I remember Josep Pedrerol's speech about Cristiano, where he was all no, they criticize him because he's Portuguese, and that just broke me.

I'm sure they did. He looked super confused so someone probably played a joke on him and lied that they called him down. That's why it was so hilarious to the players because it was such a weird moment. lol

As for people who want him to go, they can fuck right off. Coentrão is a brilliant and highly underrated player. Fans who don't want him are against him for superficial reasons and need to have a seat.

He better not go anywhere.

Or he simply hadn't been paying attention, because when he's not injured and the rest of the defense is made of less than spare parts, why wouldn't he be at the very least on the bench? Or he just goes where Cristiano goes.

I think part of it is that certain factions, Marca among them, want to make room for Bale this summer. I wouldn't even mind trying him on, because Cris needs a rest sometimes, but bringing him on as a first string left back just seems like the wrong choice, for him and for us.
